MANILA, Philippines – He was alone when he entered the MRT carriage, wheeled in by the security guard, but a leukemia patient would soon find love from his fellow passengers who contributed money to pay for his lab tests.
According to ÅcdhiRr Ailnv Diaz who was also on that train, the unnamed guy was on his way to GMA7 to seek financial assistance to pay for his medical expenses, particularly lab tests and medications. He’s supposed to go to Manila Doctors Hospital but did not have enough money for the lab tests.
“This guy who was alone and wheeled in by a guard has stage 3 leukemia. He was heading to GMA7 to ask for help for his medical expenses. With him are his medical documents including one from Malacañan,” Diaz wrote.
“The guy in gray was curious about his condition as he felt pain when the train started moving, shaking. In a weak voice he was apologetic thinking he was causing an odd scene, or causing discomfort by his presence. Everyone in this part of the train carriage heard their conversation and started pitching in. P100 + P100 + P100...
Before we reached the next station he had enough money for the lab test he needed, plus food and fare. The guys at the back called for a guard for assistance so he could go back to MaDocs.
Other than the inconvenience of passengers rushing into the carriage before he could alight, I say kindness is not lost.”
The story touched so many people’s hearts, with netizens praying for the young man and hoping that he would become better. Many were also thankful that he encountered kind netizens who helped him out, saying that the world would surely be a better place if everyone helped each other.
“GOD bless you..Keep the Faith HE will never forsake you..sending prayers for you..and to those people who had a big heart to help this guy, God will return the favor a hundred fold…” netizen Les Lee commented.

After the post went viral, several netizens commented that they had seen the guy someplace else before and he was claiming he had another illness then. There were also those who commented that he is their cousin and he is not actually sick!
Sadly, if this is scam, the people who took pity on him were duped of their hard-earned money and might think twice about helping others next time. Still, others told those who were scammed to stay good and generous, because it was not their fault they took pity on this guy’s sob story, true or not.
“God bless all good samaritans 😍😍😍 You may not be noticed but there's always someone up there who can see all of it 😍👏🙏☝whether you've been scammed or not, true story or not. God for sure is delighted for doing the right thing,” netizen Reymen Santos wrote.
