Jailed at the immigration detention facility in Davao City, Kamal Sisbro was arrested last August 19 for operating a popular shawarma stall at the Roxas night market. Because his resident visa was still under process at the immigration office in Manila, Kamal was technically not allowed to operate a business in the Philippines, even just a shawarma stall.

In the post shared by Precious Maja Barcelona who took pity on Kamal and shared his story, the Jordan national shared that he used to work as an accountant in Dubai. He met and fell in love with a Filipina with whom he has two children with.

While working in Dubai, he would send his wife Php100k a month as support. But recently, he quit his job and came to the Philippines because he wanted to spend more time with his wife and children.

Since he no longer has a job, he decided to open the shawarma shop to earn some money – and it was actually quite popular! Kamal’s shawarma shop was among the top spots to hang out at the night market.

But it seems that his Pinay wife was not happy with his decision to stay in the Philippines for good. She reported him to the immigration office for operating the shawarma shop on a tourist visa. This led to his arrest and possible deportation.

Kamal is now seeking help from netizens and whoever hears his plea as he has no idea how he can get out of this predicament yet he hopes that he would be allowed to stay in the Philippines to be with his children.

He feels sad that his wife would do this to him after 15 years of marriage but hopes that he would still find a way to be with his kids.
