With its 360-degree viewing tunnel inside the Oceanarium that is teeming with thousands of marine species, the newly opened Cebu Ocean Park is a sight to behold and an exciting destination set in Cebu City, Central Philippines. And this 7-meter deep mega aquarium is the biggest Oceanarium in the Philippines, with four times the size of the one at the Manila Ocean Park.
Located beside the San Pedro Calungsod Chapel, set at the back of SM Seaside City Cebu in South Road Properties (SRP) in Cebu City, Cebu Ocean Park operates from 10AM to 8PM daily since its ‘soft opening’ last August 24, 2019.
Park’s ‘soft opening’
Ticket prices start at Php600 for weekdays and Php800 for weekends; though just like Manila Ocean Park, tourists also have to shell out more money for extra experiences, such as swimming with the sting rays or the crocodile cage.
While the park invites guests to enjoy the experience, everyone is reminded that they are still in the ‘soft opening’ stage, with some attractions not yet fully available for guests. But soft opening tickets can still be reused when the park becomes officially open.
Note from Cebu Ocean Park: Soft opening tickets purchased from August 24, 2019 to September 30, 2019 may be used once more from October 1, 2019 to November 30, 2019. However, ticket is non transferable. Tickets bought on October 1, 2019 onwards is for one time use only.
Attractions offered and ticket prices
Set in 10,000 sqm of land, Cebu Ocean Park is much larger than Manila Ocean Park which covers 8,000 sqm. But if you were amazed by the oceanarium at Manila Ocean Park, you’ll be more excited at the one in Cebu because the latter is 4 times bigger! It also features a 360-degree viewing tunnel.
