MANILA, Philippines – Filipino boxing fans are in full support once again to the People’s Champ Manny Pacquiao as he is set to clash with American Keith Thurman, in an exciting match billed as “Welterweight Supremacy”, this Sunday, July 21 at 9:00 a.m. (Philippine Time) at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Pacquiao (61-7-2; 39 KOs), the WBA regular welterweight champion, is coming from decisive wins over strong opponents like Adrien Broner in January and Lucas Mathysse last year. Undefeated Thurman (30-0; 22 KOs), meanwhile, will be putting his unblemished record on the line for the first time in two years.
Despite his age and success in life, Pacquiao chose to fight anew. “I want to prove to people that even at the age of 40, I can still fight. I thank God because he gave me good health and strength that not all boxers continue to enjoy,” he said.
