MANILA, Philippines – The November 2018 bar exam results are out between 12 noon to 1:00 p.m. today, May 3, 2019 after the special en banc session of the Supreme Court (SC). The live updates and link to the full list of passers and topnotchers are available on this page once released online.
The results will be deliberated this morning and will be released only after SC approved the recommendation of 2018 Bar exams Committee Chairman Associate Justice Mariano del Castillo.
"The results of the 2018 Bar Exams will be released this Friday, May 3, 2019, after approval by the Supreme Court En Banc in a special session, per Bar Chair SC Associate Justice Mariano C. Del Castillo," SC confirmed in a tweet.

For the 117th bar exams, the Office of the Bar Confidant (OBC) said that 8,701 were admitted to take the examinations but after first Sunday, only 8,158 remained and on the last two Sundays, there were only 8,156 examinees (still highest number of Bar candidates in recent years).
1:30 pm: Successful Bar examinees are set to take their Oath on June 13, 2019 at 2:00 pm, Philippine International Convention Center (PICC), per 2018 Bar Chair SC Justice Mariano C. Del Castillo. Signing of the Roll of Attorneys will start the following day, June 14.

In the special en banc session, 'decoding of bar exam results' will be done. Decoding is the process where the SC orders the Office of the Bar Confidant to open the sealed envelopes with the names of the candidates who successfully passed the exams.
The Philippine Bar Examination is the professional licensure examination for lawyers in the Philippines and the only professional exam not handled by PRC.

"When you see your name on the list, say to yourself, “I can help. I will help.” Start by remembering the Oath; take to heart every word. And then recall the Preamble, every word. Then do one thing everyday to make those words real. That’s how you can help. "
"If your name isn’t on the list—breathe, grieve and mourn, heal. Take however long you need. Then, pick yourself up and do your bit to help because there is so much that needs to be done. And if helping means trying again, then do it."
