MANILA, Philippines – (UPDATED) The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported a magnitude 6.5 earthquake that shook parts of Visayas and South Luzon on Tuesday afternoon, April 23, 2019.
The exact time of occurrence was recorded at 1:37:51 p.m. with epicenter at 11.79°N, 125.38°E - 009 km N 66° W of San Julian (Eastern Samar).
The earthquake that occurred has a tectonic origin with 63 km depth of focus.
