MANILA, Philippines – ABS-CBN's noontime show It's Showtime revealed its groundbreaking feat for having first international franchise in Indonesia.
Vhong Navarro announced the good news during the "BidaMan" new segment of the show on Saturday that It's Showtime Indonesia will be launched this month. The management also confirmed the official kick-off is on Monday, March 25.
Vice Ganda even asked the show director Bobet Vidanes if there will be a version of himself in Indonesia's franchise.
"Iba sila. You're the only one Vice Ganda. Ang nag-iisang Vice Ganda na nagpaiyak sakin," Vidanes told Vice.
Meanwhile, the show's executive producer Peter Edward Dizon shared on Facebook a video posted by Indonesian media company MNCTV with the opening theme of It's Showtime sung in Bahasa.
As of press time, the segments to be catered in the international franchise are not yet announced but Indonesians may expect versions of the popular Miss Q&A and amateur singing competition "Tawag Ng Tanghalan."
It's not the first time a noontime show from the Philippines was showcased in foreign country. In 2012, Eat Bulaga! Indonesia made a successful premiere garnering good receptions from the local audience. However, the franchise only lasted for two years as the main host left the show.
