MANILA, Philippines – A young woman lost 20kg of her weight in just 4 months; and many netizens were impressed to learn that she did this the healthy way.
Losing weight is something that people often choose as part of their New Year’s Resolution but as many memes on social media would tell you, it is also something that very few people ever get to complete.
Indeed, losing weight is a rather challenging thing, especially because it often involves the need to go on a diet and to do some form of exercise. But one young woman who lost weight loved the changes so much that she decided to continue doing it, even if it was a difficult thing to do.
Pamela Cruz shared her weight-loss journey on Facebook, explaining that she had not undergone liposuction like many people thought. Of course, you can’t fault this people as losing 20kg in the span of just 4 months is truly a drastic, nearly impossible change but she claims to have done it the proper, healthy way.
From 193lbs (87.5kg), she went down to 149lbs (67.6kg). The photos were quite impressive!
According to Pamela, she tried dieting at the start of this journey. She only ate steamed vegetables the first 2 weeks but because this led to constipation, she had to change her strategy.
She chose to eat black rice instead of the usual white rice but shared that she continued eating the food she liked. In fact, according to Pamela, she even ate canned goods. To lose weight, she began doing cardio exercises, copying those she sees in YouTube videos as she was quite embarrassed to hit the gym because she knew she was fat. She also used the treadmill up to 60 minutes per day for a month.
The young woman had to stop doing exercises for 2 months because she underwent an operation. When she felt better, she decided it was time to go to the gym and really lose weight the right way. It was hard to tell whether she was doing the cardio exercises properly when she was just copying the videos at home.
She began focusing on her weight-loss journey in October. Thanks to strict coaches, she was able to surpass her targets. As she lost weight, she loved the changes so much that this motivated her to push herself further.
Who would have thought that it was possible to lose 44lbs (20kg) in just 4 months? Pamela even shared that she did not use diet pills, diet shakes, or protein shakes to lose weight!
