MANILA, Philippines – The University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) Season 81 Cheerdance Competition (CDC) happens today, November 17, 2018 at the Mall of Asia Arena. Eight member schools are now on fire to give their loudest cheer for the fans and viewers of the 24-year-old sporting event.
The defending champions and last year's stunner Adamson Pep Squad is seeking for their back-to-back wins. They are set to perform last in the 2018 CDC.
Opening the curtain for today's event will be the UE Pep Squad, hoping to improve ranking from last year's third place podium finish.

Meanwhile, recent winners of the event before Adamson – the University of Santo Tomas (UST) Salinggawi Dance Troup, National University (NU) Pep Squad and University of the Philippines (UP) Pep Squad – are also set to reclaim the throne.
Completing the line-up with the aim of improving the rank are De La Salle University (DLSU) Animo Squad, Far Eastern University (FEU) Cheering Squad, and Ateneo's Blue Babble Battalion.
