MANILA, Philippines – The National University (NU) Pep Squad reclaims the UAAP cheerdance crown.
NU Pep Squad was hailed UAAP Season 81 Cheerdance Competition (CDC) grand champion on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at the Mall of Asia Arena.

The Sampaloc-based squad won with an overall score of 711 followed by Far Eastern University (FEU) Cheering Squad and the Adamson University Pep Squad with 655.5 and 638.5 points, respectively.
The NU Pep Squad wowed with a Dia de los Muertos-themed routine. Complete with costumes based on the celebrated Mexican holiday, the Sampaloc-based squad promised to "come back from the dead" with superb stunts, pyramids and tosses.
NU received Php 50,000 cash prize while the FEU Cheering Squad and Adamson Pep Squad took home Php 30,000 and Php 20,000 cash prize, respectively.
