MANILA, Philippines – As part of It’s Showtime’s 9th anniversary, the Magpasikat 2018 performance on Tuesday didn’t disappoint. The team of Vice Ganda and Tiyang Amy took the stage and delivered another exciting performance for the madlang people.
This year, Vice Ganda teams up with Tiyang Amy Perez and Hashtags McCoy de Leon, Luke Conde Wilbert Ross and Girltrends Krissha Viaje and Mikee Agustin.

Their performance opens to a memory of a young Vice (played by McCoy) being advised by his teacher (Tiyang Amy) to follow his dreams in life. “Kahit gaano kapayak ang mundo kaya mong maging fantastic,” the teacher shared.
The skit continues to Vice singing the song, “I believe I can fly” as McCoy painted colors into the seemingly monochromatic room. The scene turns into a playful dance number complete with charming colorful characters jumping into huge trampoline.
After the ecstatic number, it slows down into McCoy fulfilling her dream of being a designer. Vice commented how she was able to fulfill all her dreams “dahil sa inyo.” Vice appears in a huge white ball gown and sings Sia’s hit song “The Greatest.” The big surprise came when Vice’s gown came alive and glowed words of motivation as he continued to sing into a shower of water.
To add icing to the cake, Vice’s teacher Milagros, who inspired him to dream was even in attendance. The two had a short reunion and the Unkabogable star thanked the teacher again for inspiring him.
The judges were impressed with the team’s performance. Ronnie and Mariz Ricketts called the performance very impactful, “grabe talaga” all they could say. Shalani Soledad-Romulo also enjoyed the presentation and commented how she liked that there were many “layers and dimensions.” Shalani even went to thank Vice for also inspiring many with his talent.
Empoy also drew laughs from the crowd when he said, “Vice, this is the first time I would say I love you.” Gus Abelgas also said that he liked the performance, “spectacular, fantastica.”
Last year, Vice Ganda was with the team of Jugs and Teddy who earned a consolation prize for the true-to-life wedding of Teddy Corpuz. This year, Jugs and Teddy had their own team and performed an emotional but comical take on popular tv shows on Monday.
Wednesday is also expected to be filled with fun surprises and astounding performance from the team of Anne and Mariel.
