Amanda Cox, a teacher at Beaumont, Texas always keeps some extra pencils on her desk so that her students would always have something to use if they had forgotten to bring theirs along or if they had ran out of pencils and didn’t have money to buy a new one yet.
One day, she was running out of pencils and asked her class if they could share their extra pencils to put in the stack. Most of the students did bring extra; thus, they put these on their desk for her to collect.
One of the students whether he could keep the pencils his mom had given her for school; of course, she said “yes” but the student changed his mind and told her he’s decided to share some of these for his classmates.
“Well, I guess I'll give you a few so my classmates can have them too,” the young boy told Amanda.
The teacher thought nothing about the kid’s puzzling remarks until she was back at her table and sharpening the pencils she got from the students.
Some of the pencils had writings on them. Checking these closely, Amanda realized that the kid’s mother had written inspirational messages on the pencils! She realized these pencils came from the kid who first refused to give her the pencils but later gave her some to share with his classmates.
She asked the boy whether she could see the rest of his pencils – and she was deeply touched by the writings on each of the pencils.

The boy’s mom had taken time to write on each pencil, putting words of inspiration to motivate the kid as he studies his lessons in school. Even if he encounters difficulties in his studies as the day progresses, these pencils are going to give him the motivation he needed.
The teacher was so impressed by the motivational words the kid’s mom wrote on the pencils that she shared the inspiring photo so that other moms could also take note of this and, perhaps, also do this for their kids!
