While many teachers are considered as ‘terror’ ones who seem to feel happier when the students are always at the edge of their seats, there are also a lot of loving teachers who know how to keep their students motivated.
One teacher in Thailand recently went viral for the unique kind of motivation she uses to encourage her children to be in school.
Each day, the teacher greets the children at the door with a special handshake before class. What makes this handshake extra special is that it is unique for each kid! Thus, the child looks forward to greeting the teacher and being in class, especially because he/she feels unique and loved by this kind teacher.
Shared by Thai News channel, Channel 8, the video shows the young female teacher standing at the doorway to the classroom while the kids are lining up and waiting for their turn.
According to Mothership SG, this was no ordinary handshake because she also incorporates lessons in them by counting with the children in English, Thai, or Chinese from 1 to 13. This beautiful teacher was also quite patient with her kids and would not force them to be perfect in their routine.
When they make a mistake, she gently corrects this and starts over again, all the while encouraging her students to try.
She also makes sure that each child gets a unique ending to the handshake and gives each one a hug. What a way to start a beautiful day in school!
The video has understandably gone viral, gaining over 1.2 million views and over 41k reactions.
A lot of netizens wished they had a teacher like her. Some half-joked that they would have surely achieved more in life if she was their teacher.
