Jordan Clarkson, the Fil-Am combo guard of the Cleveland Cavaliers will finally debut in the Asiad with a high expectation to boost the Nationals on their tough fight today.
UPDATE: Asian Games: Philippines bows down to China by just 2 points
Last Thursday, Team Philippines managed to manhandle tough Kazakhstan with 37-point win sans Clarkson, who missed the game due to his flight schedule.
“It’s time to fight on the court and go get wins,” said Clarkson in a press conference in Jakarta.
While both Gilas and China are expected to advance to the next round, the Philippines would need a win to avoid a tough draw in the knockout quarterfinals. They need to hurdle the Chinese led by two NBA players in Zhou Qi of the Houston Rockets and Ding Yanyuhang of the Dallas Mavericks.
Tip-off time at 5:00 pm.
