MANILA, Philippines - The San Miguel Beermen and Barangay Ginebra Kings are deadlocked at 2-2 after the series of blowouts of the opposing teams. Today, August 5, the titleholder SMB and challenger will go all out for the crucial go-ahead win in Game 5 of the 2018 PBA Commissioner's Cup Finals at the Araneta Coliseum.

Coach Tim Cone doesn't enjoy the blowouts and routs and he's quite sure coach Leo Austria doesn't enjoy it either.
"Either coach Leo or I don't want to play this kind of game. It's great when you're on the winning side," Cone said.
The 7-foot Greg Slaughter of Kings also has the same views. "If we can win by blowout, I'll take that again. But we're not counting on that."
Meanwhile, Puerto Rican import Renaldo Balkman guarantees San Miguel will bounce back in Game 5 after the disappointing Game 4 loss. "I guarantee that we'll come out hard on Sunday, trust me. Y'all can mark my words on that, guarantee."
Tipoff is at 6:30 p.m.
