"SMB tore our hearts and demoralized us. A truly great performance by them on both sides of the ball. We were simply embarrassed. I was embarrassed. The bottom line, though, we still have to remember that it's a seven-game series, and the score is only 2-1," Ginebra coach Tim Cone told pba.ph.
Meanwhile, SMB's import Renaldo Balkman is all-psyched up in his mission to complete his ultimate goal of capturing the PBA Commissioner's Cup crown.
"It's the Finals and I want it real bad," he said. "I want the championship. This is what I want. I won in the ABL, but this would mean something to me," Balkman said.
Tip off is at 7:00 pm after the announcement of the Best Player of the Conference and the Best Import. June Mar Fajardo is expected to win the BPC plum while Justin Brownlee and Renaldo Balkman are in close match for the Best Import award.
