MANILA, Philippines – A lot of netizens are urging a girl named Diane Kimberly to sue her ex-boyfriend after she revealed on Twitter that he’s been beating her up badly – but he only got ‘community service’ as punishment from the school for his abusive behavior.
In a Twitter thread that would soon go viral, Kim shared the experience, with photos to prove her allegations against her ex-boyfriend.

“I wanna raise awareness to the ladies who have been through the same and for those who are still stuck in the same abusive relationship. Actually this goes for all people, NEVER EVER LET SOMEONE TREAT YOU BADLY, ABUSE YOU IN ANY WAY, JUST BECAUSE YOU LOVE HIM/HER SO MUCH,” she advised.

According to Kim, her relationship with this guy [she didn’t reveal his name but angry netizens shared his photos and identity] started out like any other sweet relationship. They were totally smitten with each other and would always wait for each other at the end of their classes at the University of Santo Tomas (UST).
Soon, Kim even moved in with him. But the beautiful romance would soon turn bad. The guy turned out to be a jealous abuser who would beat her up when they fight, even over small petty stuff.
The first time he hit her was when she went out with a friend, a female friend at that, for some drinks.

“At first, the bruises and scars weren't evident but as time passed by, things JUST GOT WORSE; the beatings. I was putting up a smile but i was all broken inside and couldn’t possibly understand how he could do such things then act all normal and be sorry in a matter of seconds???” Kim wrote.

Just like many abused women, however, Kim hid it from family and friends. She stuck it out with her boyfriend, thinking he would still change but things keep getting worse. She finally had the courage to leave him after the last, most traumatic beating she experienced in his hands.
“THIS WAS THE LAST AND THE WORST. I suffered from severe hematoma all over my head and body. My head was all tender from all the bruising, it was so bad i couldn’t so much as touch it for days. I also had a chest trauma, my ribs were bruised and I had trouble breathing for weeks,” Kim revealed.

The guy would soon beg her to keep the matter private, calling it ‘away syota’ and not something that should be reported to school; but her family and friends wanted justice.

After Kim’s revelations, another netizen angrily revealed that the matter had been escalated to the school but the guy’s punishment was just community service!
Netizens have not called on Kim to report the matter to the police, so she can finally seek justice over what happened.
