MANILA, Philippines - Angeline Quinto appealed to the Popsters or fans of Sarah Geronimo to show evidence that she mocked Sarah's recent emotional breakdown.
On Twitter, Quinto addressed the rumors circulating on social media. The singer vehemently denied that she and ASAP co-star Morissette Amon mocked the Popstar Princess.
According to the rumor, Quinto and Amon were allegedly captured on camera by a staff from ASAP laughing out loud while watching the video of Sarah’s concert in Las Vegas. Quinto even allegedly called Sarah as “pabebe.”
Quinto admitted that the words hurled by some Popsters hurt her but she stood her ground that no such incident happened.
Quinto also added that's she's willing to accept all the bashing and ridicule being done to her but feels ashamed towards Sarah.
“Sabihin niyo lahat POPSTERS, HINDI AKO NAKAPAG SOLO CONCERT NA SOLD OUT, TOMBOY AKO,HINDI AKO SIKAT, Tatanggapin ko lahat yan, Dahil nirerespeto ko kayo, Tatanggapin ko lahat yan dahil nirerespeto ko ang iniidolo niyo. Sa ginagawa ko ngayon mas nahihiya ako kay Sarah,” Quinto said.
Angeline vs Popsters
On Twitter, “Angeline” trended as netizens weigh in on the issue. Some Popsters were quick to defend Sarah using the hashtag #WagSiSarah and warned their idol of having “fake friends.” They also showed screenshots of the posts from a certain Arven Page Japos on Facebook who allegedly started the rumor. Japos already deleted the post and kept his profile private.
However, there were still several netizens who defended Angeline and Morissette saying that accusations are nothing if they have no “receipts.”
Sarah’s emotional breakdown
Last April 29, Sarah Geronimo broke down in tears and left the stage during her Las Vegas concert.
The 29-year-old singer admitted she “feels empty” and have been trying to find true happiness. Sarah wasn't able to finish the song, “Forever’s Not Enough” as she was overwhelmed with emotion.
