MANILA, Philippines - President Rodrigo Duterte’s administration received a “very good” rating in a non-commissioned survey conducted by the Social Weather Stations (SWS) for the first quarter of 2016 to first quarter of 2017.
The survey, which was carried out from March 25 to 28 via face-to-face interviews with 1,200 adults nationwide and with sampling error margins of ±3 points for national percentages, ±4 for “Balance Luzon”, and ±6 points each for Metro Manila, the Visayas and Mindanao revealed that 75% of respondents were satisfied with the government. Meanwhile, 9% were dissatisfied, while 16% were undecided.
Presidential Spokesperson Ernesto Abella said the latest SWS survey reveals the increasing public appreciation with the current administration.
He said: “The people are beginning to feel the significant strides of the current government in the following areas, namely: helping the poor, fighting terrorism, defending the country’s territorial rights, providing jobs, fighting crime, eradicating graft and corruption, solving the problem of extra judicial killings, reconciliation with Muslim rebels, and reconciliation with communist rebels.
Obtaining an overall performance of +66, the Duterte administration received a very good rating score in one subject, good ratings in 10 issues and moderate ratings in four others. Here are the administration’s performance ratings on specific issues:
