A woman who recently found her husband has been cheating on her decided to teach him a lesson he will definitely not forget. Sandra Milena Almeida, a 28-year-old woman from Colombia swallowed rolled up bills amounting to $7000 after learning of her husband’s infidelity.
According to a report by Metro UK, Almeida was planning to secretly leave her husband but the latter discovered that she had all their savings with her. He then tried to negotiate in order to claim half of their money.
In the heat of the argument, the woman took matters into her own hands and swallowed the stash of cash.
After doing the unthinkable, the woman later on experienced severe abdominal pain. She was later rushed to a hospital.
Initially doctors thought she was on drugs as she didn’t tell them about the incident. Later on, X-ray results showed what she gulped down that has caused blockage on her stomach and intestine.
Doctors at Santander University Hospital in Bucaramanga were shocked to discover rolled up $100 notes inside the woman. However, the team of surgeons were only able to pull off 57 notes after cleaning and drying them out in the operating room.
This means only $5700 remained intact while the remaining money were actually lost because of gastric fluids.
So what exactly happened to the recovered cash?
According to the hospital’s chief surgeon Juan Paulo Serrano, the extracted cash has been surrendered to the police and a judge will have to decide on how to allocate it. On the other hand, the wife has been released from the hospital and is on her way to recovery.
