Already in your 30’s but still single? No need to worry, ladies. Perhaps your boyfriend hasn’t been born yet.
Case in point: This 73-year-old woman who recently tied the knot with her 32-year-old boyfriend. This meant her “forever” wasn’t even born yet not until she was in her 40’s.
The forty-year age gap didn’t stop Lydia Montalbo and Ferdinand dela Cruz from saying their “I do’s.” Indeed, love knows no age limit for the couple who first met each other five years ago.
According to Ferdinand, their one-of-a-kind love story started when his uncle asked him to take care of Montalbo, who was already suffering vision problems due to cataract at that time.
While dela Cruz initially felt pity for the old lady, he soon found himself falling in love with a woman old enough to be his mother.
Fortunately, their families saw more than the age difference and supported the odd couple’s relationship. Last May 11, the couple sealed the deal and got married in a mass wedding in their town Lobo, Batangas.
While many would question dela Cruz’ intention for marrying a woman more than twice his age, Montalbo believes that her husband truly loves him since he wouldn't getting anything financially from her.
The old lady is also open to the idea of deal Cruz getting married again should she pass away.
