A magnitude-4.0 earthquake struck off Surigao del Norte, Saturday morning, March 4.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said the quake struck at 11:36 a.m. 76 kilometers northeast of Burgos town.
The quake, which was tectonic in origin, struck at a depth of 126 kilometers.
The agency said it does not expect damages and aftershocks from the quake.
On February 26, Phivolcs also reported a magnitude 5.0 quake which hit the same town.
