Officials from various sectors made the announcement on Friday, March 3.

DOH Secretary Paulyn Jean Ubial said the agency is hoping to fill up 20,000 vacancies in hospitals and public health centers across the nation. Previously, DOH hired 23,000 various health professionals like physicians, nurses, dentists and dentists. Despite the huge number of new employees, the DOH will need more.

Interest applicants must submit requirements to the hospitals or health offices they wish to be affiliated with.

Meanwhile, the DepEd is seeking to employ 18,238 educators for Grade 1 to 10, and another 21,858 teachers for senior high school.

In his interview with DZMM, Education Undersecretary Jesus Lorenzo Mateo said teachers in K-10 should be licensed while senior high school educators have five years to pass the licensure exam in order to be regularized.

Successful applicants for entry level positions can get as much as P19,000 monthly. However, they must not be picky about where they will be assigned.

“Yung mga teachers natin, dinedeploy yan kung saan yung nangangailangan na eskwelahan. Ibig sabihin, hindi sila pwede mamili ng eskwelahan na malapit sa bahay nila kung hindi naman nangangailangan (ng teacher) yung eskwelahan," Mateo explained.

Almost 14,000 vacancies for new recruits, officers and engineering units are waiting to be filled in the Philippine Army, according to Col. Benjamin Hao.

Hao said successful applicants who passed training can take home more or less P16,000.

Those interested to fill in the vacancies may visit recruitment centers in Fort Bonifacio in Metro Manila, Camp Evangelista in Cagayan de Oro and Camp Lapu-Lapu in Visayas.

To make it easier and more convenient for applicants, employment portal JobStreet has posted job openings in the government agencies as well as overseas job opportunities coursed through the Philippine Overseas Employment Agency.
