'Bagyong Bising' PAGASA weather update February 4, 2017

MANILA, Philippines - The second tropical cyclone to enter the country this 2017, 'Bagyong Bising' has slightly slowed down as it begins to move northwestward, state weather bureau PAGASA announced in its 11:00 a.m. bulletin on Saturday, February 4.

The Tropical Depression 'Bising,' which has formed from Low Pressure Area (LPA) East of Mindanao on Friday afternoon, has its center estimated based on all available data at 515 km East of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur (8.6°N, 131.0°E) as of 10:00 a.m. today.

'Bagyong Bising' has maximum winds of 45 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 55 kph. It is forecast to move Northwest at 11 kph.

As of press time, no tropical cyclone warning signal has been raised in any of the areas.

The estimated rainfall amount is from moderate to occasionally heavy rains within the 300 km diameter of tropical depression.

Sea travel is risky over the Eastern Seaboards of Southern Luzon, of Visayas, and of Mindanao.
