MANILA, Philippines - Through social media posts, netizens have expressed their rage over the surprise burial of late dictator Ferdinand Marcos at the Libingan ng mga Bayani on Friday, November 18. The rites, which was conducted 10 days after the Supreme Court junked consolidated petitions seeking to prevent Marcos’ burial at the heroes’ cemetery, was supported by President Rodrigo Duterte.
Hours after the former President was laid to rest next to former Presidents, national artists and war heroes, microblogging site Twitter quickly became flooded with tweets pertaining to the surprise burial. Topics such as #MarcosNOTaHero, LNMB, #OccupyLNMB, Imee, and President Marcos dominated the trending topics in the Philippines.
While some used humor to express their dismay
