Cleveland Cavaliers are dead serious in winning NBA Finals crown and assure history doesn't repeat for the second straight year.
On Thursday night (Friday in Philippine Time), the Cavaliers won Game 6 of the NBA Finals on its home court against the defending champion Golden State Warriors, 115-101, to force the do-or-die final shot of the series.
Cavs have succeeded from the agony of the 2015 NBA Finals when the Warriors sealed the championship in Game 6 at Quicken Loans Arena. Reports said that only 2 of 32 teams down 3-1 in the Finals have managed to take the series to seven games, the last time in 1966.
LeBron James and Kyrie Irving scored 41 and 23 points respectively to devastate the Warriors.
James just brought the house down with that nasty finish from JR Smith on the alley opp in the third quarter.
Cavs are up by 20 points against Warriors' 11 points in the first quarter, the fewest the latter has scored in an opening frame in the playoffs in the Shot Clock Era.
Dubs were able to cut the lead of Cavs in the half time to 16, 59-43.
Klay Thompson carried the Warriors to a huge run in the third quarter, 15 points to trim Cavs lead down to 9 heading the last quarter.

LeBron James also surpassed John Havlicek and Tom Heinsohn to claim the 7th leading scorer in NBA Finals history. Meanwhile, Stephen Curry passed Jason Kidd for 10th all-time postseason 3-pointers.
