MANILA, Philippines - The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) on Monday has announced that the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2015 has reached almost P 1 billion in box-office after 10 days of showing since Christmas day.
MMFF official social media accounts posted the gross earnings of P 915 million (December 25, 2015 - January 3, 2016) with two comedy films, 'Beauty and the Bestie' and 'My Bebe Love' dominating 80% of the box-office sales, according to other reports.
Star Cinema and Viva Films' 'Beauty and the Bestie' after it crossed the P300 million mark on new year is now the no. 1 MMFF entry beating 'My Bebe Love.'
According to TV Patrol report, 'Beauty and the Bestie' overtakes the Vic Sotto-Ai Ai del Las Alas-AlDub' movie 'My Bebe Love' due to good reception on the film through 'word of mouth.'

'Beauty and the Bestie' lead star Vice Ganda expressed his gratitude to all the fans on Twitter.
Also included in the Top 4 films are horror film 'Haunted Mansion' and the festival's Best Picture awardee '#WalangForever.'
The exact box office figures for each of the entries are not yet announced as courtesy to other producers.
Other MMFF entries are 'All You Need Is Pag-Ibig,' 'Buy Now, Die Later,' 'Honor Thy Father' and 'Nilalang.'
Total gross of MMFF 2015 is expected to hit P 1.1 billion before its final run on January 7, 2016.
