MANILA, Philippines - The San Miguel Beermen won Game 5 in overtime against Alaska Aces, 86-73, to extend their best-of-seven PBA Philippine Cup finals showdown on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
San Miguel gave Alaska its first consecutive back-to-back losses to make the finals a 3-2 series.

SMB's Arwind Santos with staggering 22 points, 16 rebounds and 4 blocks was named Best Player of the game.
The reigning back-to-back MVP June Mar Fajardo, who missed the first four games of the PBA Finals, made his surprise return from a knee injury late in the first quarter of fifth game.
Fajardo scored 13 points in under 17 minutes of play for the defending champions.
SMB will get a chance to tie the series in Game 6, which is scheduled on Friday, January 29.
