MANILA, Philippines - The Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2015 entry "Beauty And The Bestie" has earned P472.7 million in box-office, Star Cinema officially announced on Monday, January 11.
The film outfit Ad Prom director Roxy Liquigan on his Twitter account said that "Beauty And The Bestie" is now the all-time MMFF top-grosser. The hashtags she used seem to be an answer to AiAi delas Alas tirade to Star Cinema and Viva movie during the press conference for another MMFF entry "My Bebe Love." The Vice Ganda-Coco Martin-led film surpassed the record of MMFF 2014 film "The Amazing Praybeyt Benjamin," which earned P440 million. The latter was produced by Star Cinema starring the blockbuster comedian.
On January 7, MMFF announced that the entries have collectively made P1.02 billion, surpassing last year's box office haul of P1.014 billion.
