MANILA, Philippines - GMA Network's Eat Bulaga host Joey de Leon expressed his views on alleged copying of their Kalyeserye segment with phenomenal 'AlDub' by its competitor ABS-CBN's It's Showtime on now popular 'Pastillas Girl.'
Joey de Leon's cryptic tweets which are about competition with It's Showtime became controversial recently as he pinpoints the similarity of Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza's #AlDub tandem to Showtime's new 'recipe'.

He even tweeted his version of Cherie Gil's famous quote "You are nothing but a second LOW rating..." and challenged the competitor to think more instead of copying.
Some netizens even think that the Kapuso actor-host is already affected of the 'Pastillas Girl' craze which somehow narrows gap of national television ratings between the two noontime shows since its debut on September 11.
On September 15, the Kapamilya noontime show generated a national TV rating of 18.2% with its segment “Nasaan Ka Mr.Pastillas?” a little lower than its rival program “Eat Bulaga,” which scored 20.6%.

Instead of dealing of 'parinig,' netizens also suggest de Leon not to focus on hates and bashing. This is to support his statement about Eat Bulaga and Showtime competition: "After 36 years, wala ka nang pressure, all pleasure na."
What Vice Ganda, Anne Curtis and Coleen Garcia's have to say on #AlDub vs #PastillasGirl phenomenon?
Vice Ganda has admitted there's a healthy competition between the two shows and highlighted that even before the AlDub fever, ABS-CBN and GMA already have the network war.
“Bago pa naman nagka-AlDub, talagang may kumpetisyon na ang ABS at ang GMA. Hindi lang naman Showtime saka Eat Bulaga. Teleserye nila, kakumpitensiya ng teleserye namin… lahat. Kaya napakaipokrita, napakaipokrito na pagka sinabi ko, ‘Naku, walang kumpetisyon! May kumpetisyon ‘yan, and it’s a healthy competition.”
Actress-host Anne Curtis also acknowledged their head-on rivalry with Eat Bulaga.
“Of course you know, there’s a war now between the fans and everything. I think everyone just needs to take a chill pill," Anne told the press at the launch of Smart and Uber partnership in Taguig City early this month.
“I think it’s great. It goes to show that people are still into noontime shows. So I think it’s great,” she added.
Coleen Garcia on her part said that both shows are trying to make people happy.
“One thing that I actually pick up on is that I’m happy that there are two noontime shows that are doing their very best to make people happy. Because, at the end of the day, it’s really about the audience. It’s really about the fans," Coleen said in an interview with Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP) on Thursday.

I seriously disappointed to Tito Joey De Leon's tweets. Why keep on "parinig"? Just be humble lang and hayaan ang bashers sana. No hates.
