MANILA, Philippines - The complete list of winners for the country’s most prestigious beauty pageant, Bb. Pilipinas 2015 was officially announced during the grand coronation night held on Sunday, March 15 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
There were 34 contestants who showed their best with 5 crowns at stake: Miss Universe Philippines, Bb. Pilipinas -International, Bb. Pilipinas-Tourism, Bb. Pilipinas-Supranational and Bb. Pilipinas-Intercontinental.
Actress-model Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach from Cagayan de Oro City was hailed Miss Universe Philippines 2015.
Model and beauty queen Janicel Lubina who won 1st Runner-up in Miss World Philippines 2013 was named Bb. Pilipinas – International 2015.
Other finalists Christi Lyn McGarry, Rogelie Catacutan and Ann Lorraine Colis won the Bb. Pilipinas – Intercontinental, Bb. Pilipinas – Supranational and Bb. Pilipinas – Tourism International respectively.
The lineup of finalists is consists of local pageant winners, graduates from top schools, artists, and working professionals who excel in their respective fields, befitting the profile of modern-day Filipinas.
The coronation night was hosted by Kapamilya stars Toni Gonzaga and Xian Lim together with Miss Universe runners-up Shamcey Supsup-Lee, Venus Raj and Ariella Arida as co-presenters.
ABS-CBN aired the delayed telecast of Binibining Pilipinas on Sunday’s Best program at 9:30pm.
Binibining Pilipinas 2015 panel of judges was led by Secretary Leila de Lima and pageant director Stella Marquez Araneta. It also includes basketball player Kiefer Ravena, comedian Vice Ganda, Sofitel general manager Bernd Schneider, model Sarah Meier, COO of Robinsons Land Corporation Frederick Go, Chief of Staff of AFP General Gregorio Pio Catapang, Ambassador of the Republic of France to the Philippines Gilles Garachon, Ambassador of the Republic of Chile to the Philippines Luis Lillo and Camarines Sur Congresswoman Leni Robredo as members of the panel.
