MANILA, Philippines - Pinay teen Marlisa Punzalan has entered the grand finals of 'X Factor Australia' after the emotional results night on Monday, October 13, 2014.
The 15-year old Filipina was included in the top 3 along with Brothers3 and Dean Ray. The grand finals is set on October 19.
Punzalan was nearly eliminated in the talent search as she garnered one of the lowest percentage of votes after the performance night on Sunday.
On their final showdown, Punzalan belted out The Beatles' "Help," while Derry sang Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah." After their performance, the judges have to select who they thought more deserving to advance to the grand finals.
Punzalan got votes from Dannii Minogue and her mentor Ronan Keating while Derry also received the same number of votes from her mentor Redfoo and Natalie Bassingthwaighte.
Since it was a tie, public votes was used once again to pick artist who will advance to the grand finals. The results revealed that Punzalan garnered the higher number of votes, for her to secure slot in the finale.
