Manila, Philippines - In the initial weather bulletin released by PAGASA today, April 6, 2014 at 5:00PM, "Bagyong Domeng which is now in the East of Southern Mindanao is about to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) this early evening.
At 4:00 pm today, Tropical Storm “DOMENG” was estimated based on all available data at 1,020 km east of General Santos City (6.5°n 135.1°e) with maximum sustained winds of 65 kph near center and gustiness of up to 80 kph. It is forecast to move west northwest at 20 kph.Meanwhile, tail-end of a cold-front affecting extreme northern Luzon.
On Monday afternoon (April 7), Bagyong Domeng is expected within 570 km East Davao City; 180 km East of Surigao City on Tuesday afternoon (April 8) and in the vicinity of Cebu City on Wednesday afternoon (April 9).
Mindanao and the regions of Cagayan Valley, Eastern and Central Visayas will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms. Metro Manila and the rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening.
Moderate to strong winds blowing from the northeast will prevail over northern and eastern section of the country and the coastal waters along this area will be moderate to rough. Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate winds coming from the northeast to east with slight to moderate seas.
Estimated rainfall amount is from 5.0 – 15.0 mm per hour (Moderate - Heavy) within the 400 km diameter of the Tropical Storm.
The public and the disaster risk reduction and management council concerned are advised to take appropriate actions and watch for the next bulletin.

Tropical storm "DOMENG" has maintained its strength as it continues to move in a west Northwest direction.
As of 10:00 p.m., the location of center is at 920 km East of Davao City (6.8°N 134.6°E). It has maximum sustained winds of 65 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 80 kph. 'Domeng' is forecast to move West Northwest at 15 kph
