Manila, Philippines - Comedian Vhong Navarro in 'Buzz ng Bayan' exclusive interview on Sunday, February 9, 2014 asks for forgiveness from his girlfriend Tanya Bautista, after his "unfaithfulness" following the incident that happened last month between him and model Deniece Cornejo.
Vhong Navarro became emotional as he captured the impact of the incident to his life, to his girlfriend and family. Vhong even said he is now willing to surrender his life to God when Boy Abunda asked if God is in front of him and what he will say.
Vhong said he's very thankful for the support of his girlfriend Tanya Bautista despite the controversy and he will also understand if Tanya will leave him.
"Dapat maging faithful talaga. Naiintindihan ko kung iiwan ako ni Tanya. Pero sabi ko wag niya muna ako iwan sa panahong ito. Mas lalong lumalalim ang ang aming pagsasama sa ngayon, mahal pala niya ako sa kabila ng pangyayari.", the actor said.
"Nag-sorry na rin ako sa mommy nya at kapatid nya Tito Boy at ang nakakatuwa binigyan nila ako ng second chance."
"Gusto ko sabihin sa kanya, ’’I'm really really sorry. Hinding hindi na 'to mauulit. Hinding hindi na.", the actor added.
Tanya Bautista used to appear in “My Only You” in which she was also the scriptwriter.
Aside from seeking forgiveness to Bautista and her family, Vhong said he also talked to his sons and explained to them his mistake.
“Nakakahiya kasi alam kong nagkamali ako sa girlfriend ko. Siyempre pinaliliwanag ko ang kamalian ko na huwag nilang gayahin… nahihiya ako kasi nagawa ko 'yun at ayaw kong gawin nila 'yun. 'Yun ang lagi kong pinapaliwanag sa kanila,” he said.
An emotional Navarro said he is blessed that his sons understand his situation.
Vhong also clarified the 'pambababoy' issue referring to Cedric Lee's group have done to him. He said his hands were duct-taped, he was forced to say things he did not do, a gun was pointed on him and his pants were pulled-down.
The actor-host also clarified the pictures viral on the internet with the alleged man’s genitals partly burned and with wounds is not him. He cleared that his genitals were not beaten nor burnt.
Vhong said he did not tell the incident immediately to the police as he was extremely in fear.
When asked about Deniece Cornejo's camp which allegedly now preparing some girls to act as witnesses against the actor. Vhong said he does not remember aggravating any girl. He believed that what Cedric did to him will simply support his story and the evidence as well.
Vhong claimed he will never make up stories. “Hindi po ako nagsisinungaling. So masaya po kami nung nilabas ang CCTV pagkatapos kung magsalita, kasi nag-match,” he said.
Vhong confirmed he will return to Showtime but did not divulge to give the exact date as the case is still ongoing.
"Babalik po ako sa Showtime hindi ko lang po alam kung kelan. Tingin ko kaya po ako nandito ulit ngayon para magpasaya ulit ng mga tao.", Vhong said.
Meanwhile, Vhong expressed his happiness for the trust and support of the showbiz industry to him.
In the statement of the leaders of the industry last week, it said: "In view of this, the undersigned leaders and officers representing the various sector of the Philippine entertainment industry unilaterally regret and denounce the brutal attack against our colleague, Mr. Navarro, we likewise express full support in his plea for justice.".
Same with his interview on Failon Ngayon on Saturday, Vhong Navarro refused to give message to Cedric Lee and Deniece Cornejo whom he has filed six criminal charges against them for serious physical injuries, grave threat, grave coercion, unlawful arrest, blackmail, and serious illegal detention, which is a non-bailable offense.
In the contrary, Deniece Cornejo filed a rape case against Vhong Navarro for her claim that she's the victim in the incident.
