The Professional Regulation (PRC) and Board of Professional Teachers (BPT) released results of January 26, 2014 LET (Licensure Examination for Teachers) or known as Teachers Board Exam in 32 working days after the exam. More than 80,000 education graduates took the exam in 15 testing centers nationwide.

May 16, 2014 Update: PRC releases January 2014 LET results Baybay and Catarman
PRC announces today, March 8, 2014 that 11,120 elementary teachers out of 38,377 examinees (28.98%) and 12,033 secondary teachers out of 42,358 examinees (28.41%) successfully passed the Licensure Examination for Teachers (L.E.T.).

BPT conducted examination in the following testing centers: Manila, Baguio, Cagayan De Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Catarman Norther Samar, Baybay City Leyte, Tuguegarao, Zamboanga, Jolo Sulu and Tawi-tawi.
Catarman, Northern Samar and Baybay City, Leyte were included as additional testing centers for the January 26, 2014 LET due to poor and unstable condition of the buildings and facilities in Tacloban and for the convenience and comfort of the examinees coming from the region. Teachers board exam in Zamboanga City, Jolo Sulu and Tawi-tawi was re-set to January 2014 due to armed hostilities and security issues.
The Board for Professional Teachers (BPT) who gave the exam is composed of Dr. Rosita L. Navarro, Chairman; Dr. Paz I. Lucido, Dr. Paraluman R. Giron and Dr. Nora M. Uy, Members.
January 2014 licensure examination for teachers (LET) covers (2) parts for Elementary: General Education (40%) and Professional Education (60%) and three (3) parts for Secondary: General Education (20%), Professional Education (40%) and Specialization (40%).
PRC said that in order to pass January 2014 LET, an examinee must obtain an average rating of not less than 75% and must have no rating lower than 50% in any of the tests.
In March 2013 LET, results were released by PRC in just 27 working days. The agency announced that 10,310 elementary teachers out of 37,117 examinees (27.78%) and 15,223 secondary teachers out of 38,433 examinees (39.61%) successfully passed the Licensure Examination for Teachers (L.E.T.).
In September 2013 LET, results were announced online after 40 working days. 19,384 elementary teachers out of 62,160 examinees (31.18%) and 25,755 secondary teachers out of 64,792 examinees (39.75 %) successfully passed the Licensure Examination for Teachers (L.E.T.).
Teachers board exam (LET) Top Performing Schools
In September 2013, University of Santo Tomas (UST) was named rank 1 top performing school for Elementary Level LET (Licensure Examination for Teachers) for obtaining 100 percent passing rate (149 out 149 passed).
Meanwhile, Philippine Normal University-Manila (PNU-Manila) is September 2013 LET Secondary level top performing school for having 89.43% passing percentage. It is followed by University of the Philippines- Diliman (UPD) with closed rating of 89.29%.
For March 2013, the following schools dominated or topped the list of best education schools in the Philippines for producing a high percentage of passing: Talisay City College (Elementary); University of the Philippines - Diliman (UPD), Saint Louis University (SLU), University of Santo Tomas (UST), University of San Carlos (USC), Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM) and Technological University of the Philippines-Cavite - Secondary.
