The ‘Eternal Love Team’ of Richard Gomez and Dawn Zulueta popularly known as 'ChardDawn' will return on primetime TV via ABS-CBN’s upcoming family drama series titled “You’re My Home”, the biggest teleserye and opening salvo of the Kapamilya network on 2014.
“It’s basically a story about two families. Richard and I are husband-and-wife here and Enchong (Dee) and Shaina (Magdayao) are our kids. The second family is composed of Cherry Pie (Picache) and Iza (Calzado),” explained Dawn in the recent project announcement held at ABS-CBN.
“It’s a family drama that reflects the real-life happenings in Filipino families. The viewers will surely follow in the story how the two families got together and what drew them apart.”
It tells the story on how they cope with conflicts, how they support each other and how they cope with the differences of each member of the family, and ultimately, what married couples go through.
Aside from Richard, Dawn, Cherry Pie, Iza, Shaina and Enchong, also part of the powerhouse cast of “You’re My Home” are Kapamilya teen stars Ella Cruz and Francis Magundayao.
“You’re My Home” is an original story of Dreamscape Entertainment writers Rondel Lindayag and Mari Lamasan.
Gomez had a reunion project with his former girlfriend Dawn Zulueta via 'Walang Hanggan' teleserye on ABS-CBN. The project was his remarkable comeback to ABS-CBN after 10 years of working with the other networks. The series is loosely based on the 1991 Gomez-Zulueta film Hihintayin Kita Sa Langit, a film based on the Emily Brontë novel, Wuthering Heights. The drama became a huge hit maintaining the top spot in viewer ratings for most of its run, with its final episode on October 26, 2012 attaining its highest rating of 45.4% nationwide.
"Masaya kami kasi after 'Walang Hanggan' maraming nag-expect na gagawa ulit kami but it took awhile. Ngayon pag pasok ng 2014 may bago silang mapapanood," Richard said.
With the successful love team of Richard-Dawn, avid viewers are now expecting that “You’re My Home” will be a sure hit.
