Philippine football team Azkals was defeated by Singapore Lions on Wednesday for the second leg of AFF Suzuki Cup semi-finals held at Jalan Besar Stadium in Singapore with a score of 1-0.
Lion player Khairul Amri on the first round scored in the 19th minute that lead Singapore to reach Suzuki Cup Finals. In the finals, Singapore will face either Malaysia or Thailand, who play the second leg of their semi-final in Bangkok today.
Last December 8, a scoreless match was happened between Azkals and Lions held in Rizal Memorial Stadium.
This is the second time in a row that Azkals made it to the semi-finals. In 2010 however, the Philippines was eliminated by Indonesia after losing 1-0 in both legs of the semis.
