Makati Central Business District (BCD) on Monday lighted-up almost 1.3 million Christmas lights at three major avenues- Ayala Avenue, Makati Avenue and Paseo de Roxas to signify the start of Yuletide Season.
According to reports, tradition now run on third year to make Makati a Christmas wonderland.
The business capital center roads are filled with "heart-shaped tress" and enchanting Christmas balls . They said that design comes from good heart and in lign with the new tagline of Makati "Make it Happen".
"We wanted to be dynamic and consistent with our positioning as the leading city not only in business but also in lifestyle, entertainment and culture", Mel Ignacio, AVP for Strategic Landnak Management Group said on the lighting ceremony at Ayala Triangle.
Christmas lights used is made of LED to save consumption of electricity. As per computed, LED saves around 70% compared to traditional lights.
Other event at Makati are Enchanting Lights and Sounds on November 16, Carolling competition (Children Category) on December 5 and Concert on December 24.
