MANILA, Philippines - Gilas Pilipinas, the country's national basketball team is looking to win its 12th straight gold medal at the Southeast Asian (SEA) Games 2017, with the journey starts tonight, August 20, against fiercest rival Thailand at the MABA Stadium in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Gilas Pilipinas campaign is powered by the best of the cadet crew as top PBA stars are still seeing action in the FIBA Asia Cup in Lebanon.

The team will be led by Kobe Paras plus SEA Games veterans Kiefer Ravena and Ray Parks.
Among the PBA players who have joined the squad were Troy Rosario, Baser Amer, Mike Tolomia, Kevin Ferrer, Von Pessumal, Raymar Jose, Almond Vosotros and Christian Standhardinger.
Meanwhile, Coach Jong Uichico is hoping to have Mac Belo in the line up replacing Carl Bryan Cruz, who is still in Lebanon for the FIBA Asia Cup.
Aside from Thailand, Gilas Pilipinas will also face Myanmar and Malaysia in the coming days for Men's Basketball Group A tournament.
