MANILA, Philippines - (Updated July 23 as of 9 p.m.) Classes have been suspended in selected areas and schools on Monday, July 24, 2017 as President Rodrigo Duterte is set to deliver his second State of the Nation Address (SONA).
While SONA 2017 was not declared holiday throughout the country, some areas to be affected by heavy traffic and mass demonstrations were given a break.

- Ateneo de Manila Senior High School - classes
- College of Holy Spirit Manila - classes in all levels and office work due to transport strike
- De La Salle College of Saint Benilde - classes and office work
- Miriam College - classes and office work
- Marikina Christian Integrated School (MCIS) - classes
- Philippine College of Criminology - classes in all levels (excluding maintenance and security personnel)
- PMI Manila and Quezon City - classes and office work
- Aquinas University of Legazpi - classes in all levels and office work due to transport strike
- University of the Philippines, Diliman - all offices "except those previously designated as required for vital functions"
