The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) officially announced on Tuesday, April 18, that 965 out of 2,194 (43.98%) passed the Midwife board exam given by the Board of Midwifery in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Pagadian, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga this April 2017.
PRC has recognized University of the Philippines School of Health and Sciences - Leyte as the top performing school after garnering 96.30% passing rate or 52 out of 54 passed the exam.

Camarines Sur Polytechnic College- Nabua placed second with 92.06% or 58 out of 63 successfully hurdled the tests.
Meanwhile, Kathryn Avery Antonio Aldave of Catanduanes State University (CSU) - Virac topped the board with 91.45%.
