MANILA, Philippines - (UPDATED) The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) reported a magnitude 6.7 earthquake that shook parts of Visayas and Mindanao late Friday, February 10, 2017.
The exact time of occurrence was recorded at 10:03 p.m. with epicenter at 9.83° N, 125.37° E - 14km N 63° W of Surigao City.

The earthquake with tectonic origin has a depth of 4 kilometers.
It was felt at Intensity VI in Surigao City and Pintuyan, Southern Leyte.
It has Intensity V in Mandaue City, San Ricardo, Limasawa and San Francisco, Southern Leyte.
Intensity IV was recorded in Hinunangan, Southern Leyte and Butuan City.
Intensity III in Hibok-hibok, Camiguin, Tolosa and Tacloban, Leyte, Bislig City, Gingoog City, Misamis Oriental.
Intensity II in Cagayan de Oro City, Talocogon City, Agusan del Sur, Dumaguete City, Cebu City
Meanwhile, the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center of the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration said that there was no tsunami threat after the quake.
