The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced on Friday, October 21, that 1,914 out of 4,742 (40.36%) passed the Electronics Engineer (ECE) board exam and 2,722 out of 3,642 (74.74%) passed the Electronics Technician (ECT) Licensure Examination given by the Board of Electronics Engineering in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cebu, Davao and Lucena this October 2016.

PRC has named University of the Philippines (UP)-Diliman as the lone school in the top performing school list. This is based on Commission Resolution No. 2010-547 series of 2010: WITH 50 OR MORE EXAMINEES AND WITH AT LEAST 80% PASSING PERCENTAGE. UPD got 100 percent passing rate or 53 examinees successfully hurdled the exam.
For ECT, University of Santo Tomas (UST) got the lead with 98.85-percent rate or 86 out of 87 passed the tests.
