(Updated December 17) The Civil Service Commission(CSC) officially released results of October 23, 2016 Civil Service Exam - Paper and Pencil Test (CSE-PPT) also known as Career service examination for the professional and Sub-professional level on December 3 2016. The complete list of passers out of more than hundred thousand registered examinees is available here as we update this webpage.
CSC announced that passers who got at least 80 percent score will be eligible for the first and second level positions in the civil service provided the eligibles meet the qualifications and other requirements of the positions (education, experience, and training).

SUSPENSION OF CSE-PPT IN SOME REGIONS
Note that CSE-PPT on October 23 at the following areas: Region 2 (Cagayan Valley Region), Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), and Dagupan City was suspended due to the onslaught of Super Typhoon Lawin.
The suspension is in light of anticipated destructive impact/after-effects of Typhoon Lawin, which may include damage to structures, disruption of electrical power distribution and communication services, massive flooding, landslides, impassable roads and bridges, and similar occurrence.
The CSC said to issue another examination advisory on the new schedule of the examination, which shall be posted on the CSC website.
October 26 Update: The Career Service Examination-Pen and Paper Test (CSE-PPT) in Region 2, CAR, and Dagupan City is rescheduled to November 20, 2016.
"As we wait for the release of the advisory/guidelines, in the meantime, kindly contact the CSC Regional or Field Office concerned for your questions," CSC shared on Facebook.
OCTOBER 2016 CSE-PPT RELEASE OF RESULTS
The CSC announced that exam results will be released within 41 days after the examination through posting the list of passers in the CSC website.
Official results can be expected from December 1-9, 2016 or on December 3 (41 calendar days).

In the same period last year (October 18 exam), results were release online after 40 calendar days. Similar case of suspension of examination in some areas also happened due to typhoon.
Examinees can generate their examination rating through OCSERGS or Online Civil Service Examination Result Generation System which can also be accessed through the CSC website. Generation of examination rating through OCSERGS shall be available approximately 15 days after the posting of the List of Passers.
Those who will pass should coordinate and verify with the CSC Regional Office concerned the availability of their Certification of Eligibility (CoE) and the requirements in claiming it. A complete directory of the CSC Regional Offices is available at the CSC website. Passers must personally claim their CoE. Representatives are not allowed to claim the same. Claiming of CoE shall be available approximately 30 days after the posting of the List of Passers.
A corresponding Advisory on these matters shall be posted in the CSC website. Any other concerns on examination result including verification of examinee number, examinees are advised to coordinate directly with the CSC Regional Office concerned. The CSC Regional Offices handle the releasing of examination results.
CIVIL SERVICE EXAM COVERAGE
The CSE-PPT is a general ability test designed to measure an individual’s preparedness to enter government service.
There are two levels of CSE-PPT, for the professional and sub-professional. Three-hour test for the professional level includes vocabulary, grammar and correct usage, paragraph organization, reading comprehension, analogy, logic, and numerical reasoning (English and Filipino). For the latter, exam coverage is almost the same with the inclusion of clerical operations instead of analogy and logic and timed for 2.5 hours.
Questions for both examination levels include general information on the Philippine Constitution, the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees (R.A. 6713), peace and human rights issues and concepts, and environment management and protection.
