The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced on Friday, June 17 that 6,183 out of 14,184 (43.59%) passed the Nurse Licensure Examination (NLE) given by the Board of Nursing in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga this June 2016.
PRC has recognized West Visayas State University (WVSU)- La Paz as the top performing school in the recent NLE as per Commission Resolution No. 2010-547 series of 2010. WVSU got 100-percent passing percentage or 96 examiness passed the exams.
Bicol University (BU)-Legazpi, Far Eastern University (FEU)-Manila and Ateneo de Zamboanga ranked second to fourth respectively for having 89.02, 86.14 and 84.62-percent passing rate.

Examinees of Cebu Normal University (CNU) and De La Salle University (DLSU)-Health Sciences Institute topped the board with identical 87.20-percent grade.
The performance of schools in the June 2016 Nurse Licensure Examination in alphabetical order as per R.A. 8981 otherwise known as PRC Modernization Act of 2000 Section 7(m) "To monitor the performance of schools in licensure examinations and publish the results thereof in a newspaper of national circulation" is as follows:
