MANILA, Philippines - Kurt Philip Espiritu, the teen singer from Bacolod City, charmed the viewers and judges with his rendition of Charlie Puth's "One Call Away" during the grand finals performance night of Pilipinas Got Talent (PGT) Season 5 on Saturday, May 21, 2016.
Espiritu earned praise from the judges for demonstrating both his vocal talent and his skills with the guitar.
"Honestly, you don't have the most powerful vocals among the singers who joined this season. What makes you spectacular is your charm and your connection to your audience. Hanga ako sa iyo at kamukha mo si Daniel Padilla," judge Vice Ganda commented.
"Napaka-refreshing mo, iho. Naniniwala ako matutupad narin ang pangarap ko na magkaroon ng Elvis Presley ang Pilipinas," judge Robin Padilla said.
"Last time, I said you're the Philippines' Justin Bieber. Tonight, you are Daniel Padilla," judge Freddie M. Garcia said.
"Agree ako kay Vice na iba ang charm mo talaga. Pag nandito ka sa stage, nilalamon mo lahat. Ang galing mo magperform," judge Angel Locsin said.
