UPCAT Results AY 2016-2017 now available online

MANILA, Philippines - The University of the Philippines on Thursday, December 17, 2015 officially released the College Admission Test (UPCAT) results for AY 2016-2017 earlier than the target date as announced through general information guidelines on their website.

More than 1,500 students successfully hurdled the entrance test.

UPCAT was administered last August 30, 2015 in at least 25 campuses nationwide. There was a decline of the number of takers this year due to the implementation of the K to 12 program.

The official list of passers is now available online. Due to peak of traffic on UP website servers as the results were released, UP used mirror websites as an alternative to check results.

Note that Filipino graduates from the Top 10 of the graduating classes of public high schools may apply for freshman admission for SY 2016-2017 without having to take the UPCAT. This is provided by a transitory provision of RA 10648, the Iskolar ng Bayan Law.

UP System announced that the Office of Admissions will be closed for the Christmas Holidays from December 19, 2015 - January 3, 2016. The Office will be open to inquiries related to the UPCAT 2016 Results starting January 4, 2016.

The UPCAT is a multiple-choice exam with questions in Filipino and English. Its four subtests cover Language Proficiency, Science, Mathematics and Reading Comprehension.
