MANILA - Soulful singer from Bulacan Jhyleanne Rington advanced to the next round of "The Voice Kids" Philippines Season 2 after beating his teammates on Team Lea.
Jhyleanne went against the 'Singing Athlete of Marikina' Kyla Jose and 'Biriterang Kontesera of Albay' Mary Anne Ramos in the battle rounds, performing "First Time In Forever," a song from Disney's 2013 animated feature film Frozen.
Coach Bamboo Manalac chose Jhyleanne while Coach Sarah Geronimo picked Kyla.
Coach Lea chose Jhyleanne as the Broadway Diva believed she has a lot of potential.

Rington is the third member of Salonga's team to move on to the sing-off round. Last week, Jonalyn Pepito and Luke Alford won their respective battles.
"The Voice Kids," which is hosted by Luis Manzano, Robi Domingo and Yeng Constantino, airs Saturdays at 7:15 p.m. and Sundays at 7:45 p.m.
