MANILA, Philippines - Singer-farmer and four-chair turner Rence Rapanot sang Joey Ayala's "Karaniwang Tao" on the Final Showdown of ABS-CBN's top-rating vocal competition 'The Voice of the Philippines' on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at the Newport Performing Arts, Theater, Resorts World Manila, Newport City, Pasay City.
The 22-year old singer from Laguna performed a duet song with Joey Ayala and Bayang Barrios. Rence impressed the coaches as they believed Rence is needed in todays OPM industry.
Rence gears up to win the competition to encourage the younger generation of Filipinos to listen to OPM. “All I want is for people to love our own music, and I’m ready to fight for that,” he said.
