Manila, Philippines - President Benigno 'PNoy' Aquino III became emotional on his 5th State of the Nation Address (SONA) delivered on Monday, July 28, 2014 after recalling memory of his parents.
The presidential annual report before the 300 lawmakers and guests at Batasan Pambansa lasted for one hour and 30 minutes.
Aquino said that he is already contented with the accomplishments of his administration.
"Hangga't buo ang ating pananalig at tiwala—mapapatunayang: “The Filipino is worth dying for, the Filipino is worth living for. Idadagdag ko naman po, the Filipino is definitely worth fighting for," PNoy said, quoting his late father Senator Benigno Aquino Jr.
"Buong-buo ang tiwala ko: Nasa eksena man ako o wala, tutungo ang Pilipino sa dapat niyang patunguhan," Aquino concluded his speech.
